About Claire Coleman:

I am a non-fiction writer, adjunct instructor at a Catholic college in New Jersey, community volunteer, wife, and mother of three grown children.

Prayer is a part of every day of my life. I have made it a practice to include the needs of other people in my prayers. I do this because I believe in the energy of prayer and the opportunity it allows me to ask for help, guidance, protection, health, comfort or strength on behalf of someone else.  It is the spiritual side of following through on the statement, “I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.”

The Special Intentions blog will highlight people or situations where compassionate and empathetic prayer is needed.  It will also focus on individuals, groups or associations that are working to make a difference in the world.

About Special Intentions:

The idea behind Special Intentions is simple—say one prayer, once a day for someone other than yourself.
